Decorated and Retired Special Forces Officer
Steve Lee is the founder of Major Defense, a veteran owned business. Steve has over 3 decades of experience as an instructor teaching at the U.S. Army Infantry School, a State University, and instructing military and police in ten countries. A decorated and retired Special Forces officer; he has an extensive background in weapons and Close Quarter Combat and has trained with elite forces from around the world.
Chief Instructor certified by the United States Concealed Carry Association and the National Rifle Association
He is the Chief Instructor at Major-Defense, and is a National Rifle Association (NRA) certified instructor as well as an Benefactor Life member of the NRA. With the NRA he holds certifications in Pistol, Basic CCW, Shotgun, Home Firearm Safety, Refuse To Be A Victim, Personal Protection in the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home and Chief Range Safety Officer. Steve also holds the NRA's highest pistol marksmanship award the Distinguished Expert . He is also a certified instructor with the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) and teaches Basic Handgun, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals, Countering the Mass Shooter Threat and Emergency First Aid Fundamentals

After retiring from the Army, Steve continued his firearms training with the NRA, USCCA, Frontline Firearms and Front Sight. He also received safety training from the Saber Corporation and the Florida Crime Prevention Association. He served as a Range Safety Officer at the Dade City Gun Club for 16 years and shoots competitively with the International Defensive Pistol Association and the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation. Recently, relocated to the mountains of North Georgia near Dahlonega, Georgia. By Spring of 2024 a small range will be available for pistol training.
